Master's Program with Thesis in German Language Teaching

General Information

The German Language Teaching Master's Program (with Thesis) is organized as a two years program. The first year includes theoretical and practical courses. In the second year, thesis study is carried out. The curriculum of the first year consists of theoretical and practical courses. Accordingly, there are four courses in the first semester and five courses in the second semester. Each semester students are required to obtain 12 credits and 30 ECTS points. Theoretical courses cover the fields of Linguistics, Language Acquisition, Literary Science and Foreign Language Methodology. Practical courses consist of scientific research methods and seminar topics. The evaluation of the courses is carried out according to the Direct Conversion System with 40% credited to the midterm exam and 60% to the final exam. The average success score at the end of the semester must be at least 2,50 points.

Students who successfully graduate from the Master's Program in German Language Teaching become experts in the field of German Language Teaching.

 

Job Opportunities

Students who successfully graduate from the German Language Teaching Master's Program are entitled to work as German teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools. In addition, they can take aquire different positions in various units of the Ministry of National Education and Higher Education Institutions.
