BIBLIOGRAPHY OF SCIENTIFIC STUDIES IN GERMAN DEPARTMENTS OF UNIVERSITIES IN TURKEY

With the support of Marmara University BAPKO unit, the project titled "Updating and Transferring the Bibliography of Scientific Studies in German Language Education Programmes in Turkey to the Internet" and numbered EGT-BGS-120707-0169 was carried out between 2007-2010. In this project, a bibliography of all academic studies conducted in the German Language Literature, German Language and Education and German Translation and Interpreting Departments in Turkey has been created. An article on the subject was published in Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education, Journal of Educational Sciences.

 

Article abstract:

"This study analyses the scientific researches conducted in the German Departments of Turkish Universities since their establishment until today. Information on scientific publications carried out in German Language and Education, German Language and Literature and German Translation and Interpreting Departments in our country between 1998-2008 was collected via e-mail; bibliographical information for the period before 1998 was combined with the present study and the data was analysed. Accordingly, 3755 copyrighted or translated books, articles or papers, theses and projects in the subject areas of Literature, Educational Science and Foreign Language Teaching, Linguistics, Culture, Translation Science and Communication were identified. The current bibliography study, which was carried out within the scope of Marmara University's scientific research project, is accessible from the web page of the relevant department [...] Thus, the ground has been prepared for all scientific academic studies to be carried out in the field."
